UCCA----THE VOICE OF A COMMUNITY

The Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Inc. (UCCA) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, educational and charitable organization that has represented the interests of America's ethnic Ukrainians for over sixty years. Its membership is broad-based, including corporation heads, academics, students, and retirees. The UCCA's offices are located in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Kyiv, Ukraine.

Established in 1940, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Inc. today unites some 20 Ukrainian organizations and over 75 branches throughout the United States. A 37-person, elected, volunteer Board of Directors governs the UCCA in conjunction with a 73-member National Council made up of representatives of member-organizations and the largest UCCA branches.

UCCA has served as a conduit through which Ukrainian Americans have provided humanitarian aid and assistance to residents of Ukraine and Ukrainians throughout the former Soviet Union. To date, several million dollars of assistance has been distributed via the UCCA's special projects and councils to Ukrainians in Ukraine and in the countries of the former Soviet Union.
