Assistance to Unfortunate Children in the Kharkiv Region
Kharkiv, Ukraine
The mission of The "Syntez" Kharkiv Regional Charity Association is to
provide comprehensive assistance to unfortunate children in the Kharkiv
region: orphans, refugees, homeless children, and especially the many needy
children who have families. The "Syntez" Association has been operating in
this region since 1995. The "Our Home " Rehabilitation Centre for children
and youth people in dire circumstances, which operates within the framework
of the program, was established in 1997 (scheduled load: 44 children between
4 and 18 years old).
Since then the Centre has assisted more than 900 children (returned to
their
families, placed in new families, registered in schools of general education
and other educational institutions, boarded in schools, etc.)
Ukraine's economic crisis has given rise to a concomitant increase in
the numbers of homeless children. According to statistics, there are more
than three million homeless children in Ukraine, with more than 23,000 in
Kharkiv region alone. Thus, there is an urgent need to develop, expand,
and strengthen the functioning of " NASH DOM" Rehabilitation Centres
for children and youths living in dire circumstances.
Therefore, The "Syntez" Kharkiv Regional Charity Association is seeking
foreign partners to cooperate with us in helping the homeless children of
Kharkiv region, who badly need food, clothing, footwear, medical care,
education, adoptive families, etc. Please keep in mind that this is not the
complete list of primary necessities, which even the state cannot provide.
The "Syntez" Kharkiv Regional Charity Association is a non-commercial,
non-profit, non-state charity organization, which conducts its activities
only through donations.

SOS--seeking help for needy children in Ukraine!
A Letter From Chairman Valeriy Ivanov
To everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of "street kids" in Ukraine!
We are in dire financial need.
Financial aid from organizations and private individuals for feeding,
clothing, and educating these homeless children, and for paying electric and
heating bills is urgently required. The state does not finance us. We have
been conducting this charitable work since 1995 exclusively with the aid of
donations. We guarantee all donors a complete report on our expenditures,
and we are prepared to furnish any documents and information pertaining to
our organization and activities.

Thank you in advance for your attention and your generosity to the "street
kids" of Ukraine.
Thank you and God bless.
Yours truly, Valeriy Ivanov
