KYIV, Oct 31 (KP Daily) - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said Thursday it would donate $5 to the Terry Fox Foundation for every ticket to Canada (taken between November 1st and December 31st, 2002) purchased from the KLM office in Ukraine.

To date, the Terry Fox Run worldwide has raised more than $270 million for cancer research.

In 1999, the Canadian community in Kyiv, with support from the Canadian Embassy, organized the first Terry Fox Run in Ukraine, and has held a Terry Fox Run every autumn since. Funds raised through the Terry Fox Runs in Ukraine are donated to scientific cancer research organizations working in Ukraine. To date, the Terry Fox Runs here have raised some US$15,000. (SL)
