Organizational mission
   
 
  • To improve the quality of life and health of children living in orphanages in Ukraine;
  • To help and encourage these children  to reach their potential;
  • To provide the children with respect, hope and love through the dedicated  work of the volunteers.

 

The key principles underlying the mission of "Priyateli Ditey" is a strong belief in
individual responsibility, leadership by example, teamwork, respect and love. The
application of these principles is manifested  in all facets of the work we do.

  • Our organizational structure is based upon a model where relatively small teams carry a specific project through its various phases and each team is responsible for the results of their activities.
     
  • Specific individuals at each orphanage are made responsible for the handling and protection of resources that we provide: their incentives stem from the desire to secure future support and genuine care for the well being of their charges.
     
  • We actively practice and model the principles: that individuals can create a better world, and that each of us is responsible for finding ways to do so.
     
  • We take a practical approach to helping today’s orphans become tomorrow’s productive and self-sufficient adults and responsible citizens by skill sharing, as well as providing educational and training opportunities.
     
  • We work in cooperation with government officials, orphanage directors and teachers to support innovation in the system because we recognize the need to include all stakeholders in the change process.
