The Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society (UPNS) seeks to unite all collectors of Ukrainian materials and is particularly dedicated to the promotion of Ukrainian stamps, coin, and medal collecting. All fields of Ukrainian philately and numismatics are encouraged: from pre-stamp mailings to post-Soviet provisionals, and from ancient coins to currect banknotes. The Society was founded in 1951.
The www.upns.org website contains information about UPNS membership, contact information, current officers of the Society, the "Ukrainian Philatelist Journal" which is the flagship publication and is published twice each year, the "Trident Visnyk" newsletter which is published six times each year, and the Heorhiy Narbut Prize. The site also contains a great article "Introduction to Ukrainian Philately" by Ingert Kuzych, a list of reference books and articles, and information about the Societies Bookstore where there is an outstanding list of related publications that can be ordered, and then a section on related links.
