The following 13 real photo postcards are a unique and rare historical
set of photographs. The photographs show Ukrainian people marching and saluting
in front of Nazi parade review stands. The photographs were most likely taken
in the autumn of 1941 or the spring of 1942. The location of the events is certainly
in the Hutsulschyna region of western Ukraine and maybe in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
(formerly called the Stanislaviv Region). Any Ukrainian cooperation with the Nazi forces
ended soon after this time period for well known reasons.
The photographs are printed on German Agfa real photo postcard paper. There is nothing
but postcard back lines on the backs of the postcards. The cards were not mailed.
At one time they were all glued into an album. ArtUkraine.com would welcome additional
information anyone could provide regarding these photographs or the events of this time
period.

Photograph shows a Nazi parade review stand full of people. In the front of the stand are
three Ukrainian woven carpets called "Lizhnyky". Woven into one of them is the Ukrainian Trident.
The Nazi symbol has been placed in front of the middle carpet.

Photograph shows Ukrainian men in suits
with a yellow and dark blue flag marching past the review stand.
This was probably the lead group since they have the flag.

dress riding past the review stand.

Photograph shows a closer view of the horse unit moving past the review stand. This unit
is also carrying some flags so could have been the lead unit in the parade.
