| Linda Lishchuk
Hupert of Parma, Ohio, is a master artist of the internationally
known Ukrainian Pysanky (egg decorating) and has been
creating her works for over 25 years. She began with the
Ukrainian American Youth Association in Parma. |

For the past 22 years one could find Linda
demonstrating her art and selling her Pysanky creations at Hixson's
Floral and Gift Shop, in Lakewood, Ohio. Mr. Hixson has held
an outstanding "Decorated Egg" show the week before
Easter for over 30 years
featuring artists and "Egg Art" collectors from several
states. Linda has appeared on several local television shows
over the years and has been involved in teaching the art to
children and adults thru various programs in the Cleveland Public
Schools.

Linda has through her
art teaching and selling, been involved with the Ukrainian
Museum Archives in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cleveland Museum
of Art retail store, The Natural History Museum of Cleveland,
the Garden State Festival in New Jersey, and the New York
Verhovyna Festival. One could find Linda at times in recent
years demonstrating her art form and selling "Pysanky"
at Walt Disney World Epcot Center in Florida as a guest
artist.

She has been invited to go back again for the Flower and Garden
Festival and the International Food and Wine Festival at the
Epcot Center.
Linda is also passing on her art through teaching young people
and not only teaches the art at the Ukrainian American Youth
Association where she first learned, but has received a grant
from the Ohio Arts Council's Traditional Apprenticeship Program
to teach.
