Bronze sculpture of Hermes reportedly made in the first century A.D.
has been found in the ancient settlement Mangul near Bahchisaray
(Crimea ).
Research expedition headed by Oleksandr Gertsen, the head of ancient
world and Middle Ages cathedra of Tavria National University, has
found the precious sculpture
The 115-cm high sculpture proves relationships of the ancient
princedom Feodoro and Byzantium. The archeological research has been
conducting in this region for more than 100 years, ForUm reports.
