The present Joint venture "Galca Ltd."
(Lviv Coffee Factory) was created in 1971 on the basis of an enterprise
specializing in the production of coffee and its substitutes made
of cereals. In 1971 the acquirement of new equipment for making
instant coffee produced by the firm "Niro Atomizer" made
it possible to effectively combine the experience of the personnel
in producing different kinds of coffee products with modern technology.
Since that time the Lviv Coffee Factory has grown to be mighty specialized
enterprise whose trademark is widely known not only in Ukraine but
far beyond its borders. In 1993 the Lviv Coffee Factory became closed joint-stock company "Galca", which in 1995 formed Joint Venture with the English firm E.D.&F. Man Coffee Limited. Since that time it is known as Joint Venture "Galca Ltd.". Today the enterprise is producing great variety of coffee products, among them the small-ground coffee " Eastern Way" is novelty. In 1996 in Geneva (Switzerland) the Global Quality Management has marked the achievements of the enterprise with the Commitment To Quality Award. In 1997 in Paris the factory received the XXV International Award For Quality and the IX European Gold Prize.
