STELLA ARTOLS FROM CHERNIHIV

"Sun Interbrew Ukraine announced April 21, that it launched the brewing of a new beer under the brand name Stella Artois, the famous Belgian beer. The beer will be brewed at Desna Chernihiv Brewery, which belongs to Sun Interbrew. "
"Stella Artois has been originally brewed in Belgium since 1366. The beer will be brewed using the original recipe of Belgian monks, but locally produced ingredients. The advertising campaign in Ukraine is likely to focus on Stella Artois' long history, as the presentation ceremony featured a simulation of medieval times."

"Numerous contests, such as arm wrestling and a contest of the noblest knight sought to induce the guests into active participation at the presentation. The presentation was intended to project the image of beer's excellent quality, exquisite taste and long-standing tradition."

STELLA ARTOIS... Global Brand. This classic European lager is a bottom fermented brand pils with an alcohol content of 5.2% ABV. One the very best barley and the finest hops are selected for this beer. Stella Artois is the flagship brand for Interbrew. It is marketed in 16 countries and is now being brewed in Ukraine.

"KYIV....The Sun Interbrew Company, which has received permission to acquire an 80% share package in the Rohan brewery, intends to invest EURO 11mn in the enterprise and EURO 66 mn in Ukraine overall. Local company representatives informed that investment will go towards developing the bottling line, pasteurization of beverages and modernization of the lager fermenting division. In particular, the installation of two new bottling lines, with a capacity of 50,000 bottles an hour at the brewery is planned for next year."

"In addition, Sun Interbrew has intentions to build a malting house which will supply all Ukrainian breweries owned by the Sun group, including Yantar, Krym and Desna. Investments for this purpose will amount to EURO 55 mn."
   

 

CHERNIGIVSKI PIVO
Chernigivski Pivo is a classic Ukrainian style lager beer, brewed in the ancient city of Chernigov using traditional brewing terchniques and spring water from 700 m underground. It has built its popularity on a fundamental strength--more real beer taste. The alcohol content is 4.5% vol, and the beer is at its best served between 3 and 5 degrees C.
