You may not have heard of the man or his company,
but chances are you've eaten in one of Andriy Zadorozhny's restaurants.
Zadorozhny, a native Kyivan and founder of the Alliance concern, likes
to say that running a restaurant is more of an art than a business.
If so, that makes Zadorozhny a pretty good artist.
In terms of the sheer number of high-quality restaurants it owns,
no company in Kyiv comes close to touching Alliance. Zadorozhny opened
up his first restaurant, Miami Blues, six years ago. The flashy new
bar quickly became the temple where Ukraine's newly rich came to show
off their wealth - and their women.
Zadorozhny went on to open up a slew of Kyiv's most well-known restaurants,
including
Chateau de Fleur, Pantagruel, Khutorets, Da Vinci, Non-Stop, and Deja
Vue. His strict
attention to detail and concern for atmosphere is reflected in each
one of those restaurants.
