Wording Of Signs Posted Around Kyiv

Sign No. 1:
"Kikes of the city of Kiev and the surrounding area! On Monday,
29 September 1941, you are required to appear at 8 A.M. at the corner
of Melnikow Street
and Dorogozhitskaya Street (near the graveyard). Bring your documents,
currency, and valuables, as well as warm clothing, underwear, etc.
Any kike who fails to appear as ordered and is found elsewhere will
be shot."
Sign No. 2:
"Kikes of the city of Kiev and the surrounding area! On Monday,
29 September 1941, you are required to appear at 8 A.M. at the corner
of Meinikov Street and Dorogozhitskaya Street (near the graveyard).
Bring your documents, currency,
and valuables, as well as warm clothing, underwear, etc. Any kike
who fails to appear as ordered and is found elsewhere will be shot.
Hiding kikes is punishable by death. Occupying kike apartments is
punishable by death."
33,771 persons, mostly Jews, were executed at
Babi Yar ravine on the outskirts of Kyiv during September 29 and 30th,
1941.
