The author, a prominent American businessman, benefactor and
Ukrainian patriot Olexiy Woskobiynyk (Alex Woskob), does not only
tell about sad, tragic or funny events of the Ukrainian immigrant's life.
also teaches one to think, analyze, not going astray at the most
critical situations, to fight till the end for the achievement of one's
goal , and eventually become a winner in this difficult, not always
understandable, but at the same time beautiful world.
Alex Woskob is a professional engineer and is the president of A. W.
& Sons, Inc.. Alex's company built a considerable number of large
apartment buildings, with several thousand apartments, in State College,
Pennsylvania, the home of Penn State University. Alex and his wife,
Helen, live in State College, Pennsylvania.
The Woskob's have been very active in the Ukrainian/American
community and very active in Ukraine since independence. The
Woskobs' have received many awards for their outstanding work
on behalf of Ukraine.
