This book attempts to convey the events and spirit of the Orange Revolution, using photos and the written and spoken words of those days to immortalize clearly and precisely what was said and done. As well, expert opinions are presented for analysis of these frightening and glorious events.
Both sides of the revolution are presented in a unbiased light. Both the orange and the blue and white believe they are right and both connect their future with Ukraine.
No conclusions are drawn from these events, for time is the best judge.
This edition does not have the space to mention all who defended their stance on Maidan in Kyiv, the Square of Liberty in Kharkiv, the Avenue of Liberty in Lviv and in other cities, towns and villages. A grateful mention is given to those who supported the participants with food, clothes, medicine, and money. Those who wore an orange ribbon or an orange scarf.

Thousands and thousands of names connected with the life-affirming events of November-December of 2004 could not be included here, but will remain in the collective memory of a people.
The revolution ended with President Viktor Yushchenko's inauguration on January 23, 2005.
Maidan will live eternally in Ukrainian history, and the Maidan spirit flourishes in those who are the masters of their destiny, their land, and their future.
This is the book President Yuschenko's office uses as a gift for foreign dignitaries (including a Japanese Empress, the President of Georgia etc.). The President's Office has already bought hundreds of copies in both English and Ukrainian.
Copies of the book are available through ArtUkraine.com at $34 plus $15 for postage and handling, $49 total. Please contact us at ArtUkraine@voliacable.com
