Kyiv. September 25. UNIAN. The General Assembly of the
International Milk Federation (IMF) decided to make Ukraine its member
on the threshold of the World Milk Congress opening (which is carried out
in Paris during September 23-27). The official site of the Ukrainian Cabinet
of Ministers includes this information.
As the information goes, Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Leonid
Kozachenko said that the entering of Ukraine to the International Milk
Federation (IMF) is its next step for the entry to the World Trade
Organization (WTO).
According to the words of L.Kozachenko, the membership of Ukraine in
IMF will assist to the quick harmonization of the Ukrainian normative-legal
base in the sphere of the milk branch, modernization and development of milk
industry in accordance with the requirements of the European Union.

Austria, Australia, Great Britain, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, New
Zealand, the USA, France and other countries are members of the IMF.
